GUTEN TAG

On our last night in Switzerland, Dave (whom's house we were staying at), fed us a traditional winter meal of cheese fondu and some beautifully dainty soft bread. Whilst these are both things I am forbidden to eat, I had to go all Michael Jackson and be bad!  The way they eat it is from this cheese from a packet that melts in the fondu set then you soak your bread in some form of schnapps then into the cheese, you can add some pineapple if you wish too. It was all so good until the schnapps hit your tongue, then it became increasingly hard to swallow.
I was so cheesed out by the end of it that I had to take a nap. Oh and I have now had so much time on my hands that I have figured out the rubiks cube, with some of Stuart's help. I'm now a genius.

We arrived in Berlin yesterday (Thursday evening), met Stu's friend Rhys's friend Dan, whom we call German Dan, who is our sort of tour guide. Confusing. Dan took us to a Bavarian restaurant where everyone was dressed up and served steinz. We ate haxe (pork knuckle) and some other Bavarian meat with a giant like gnocchi that was delicious but overfilling. Then went out for drinks at a cool bar where  everyone smoked inside and I'm guessing the majority were into art. Oh and I finally have some female company, I'm losing my femininity hanging around these boys listening to their conversations. So far so good, going out to explore the streets of Berlin this morning then to see some history, just thought I'd update you with something other than photos.

Miss you all dearly! X x x x x
